Recent Outreach Events Have Been a Huge Success!
Girl Scouts Day at Dinosaur Ridge – October 8, 2022
WIM Denver has a great time at Dinosaur Ridge teaching girl scouts about the uses on minerals in everyday life and the importance of mining! We had over 400 visitors!
Thank you to our booth organizer, Karen Jass and awesome volunteers: Stacey Boase (Newmont), Bobbi Martinez-Hernandez (U.S. Department of Interior) and the many Colorado School of Mines Mining Engineering Dept. students that helped out throughout the day!
Thank you!
Colorado School of Mines Spooktacular Event
Women in Mining Denver had an absolute blast at the Colorado School of Mines Spooktacular event! It’s always such a joy sharing our love for the mining and minerals industry with young ones through educational outreach. Thank you to the Colorado School of Mines Geology Museum for the opportunity to have a booth, to our booth organizer Mariea Kartick, P. Geo. and to all of our wonderful volunteers: Andrea Reither, Samara Omar, Randolph Davis, Connor Olsen and Yong Hee Kim! Over 650 kids visited our booth, and they had a great time exploring for rocks!
Upcoming Event Reminder!
Don’t forget! Later today Maureen Breeze from Cultivage Consulting & Coaching will be leading a talk on “Strategies for Managing Conflict and Difficult Conversations”
