“EDUCATING ON MINERAL RESOURCES”

The importance of educating the public about minerals has never been greater. Women in Mining – California Chapter (WIM-CA) is a non-profit organization focused on educating the public about mineral resources through educational programs. We endeavor to position mining as an equitable, sustainable, and reputable industry, and strive to cultivate a  mining community that fosters trust and respect. We believe that mining is essential for a better world and that the industry’s success is determined by diversity of future talent.  Additional information about our organization can be found at www.WIMCA.org.

WIM-CA and our conference host, California State University San Bernardino, invite your support for our K-12 Teacher Conference that aims to provide 75-100 teachers on June 3-4, 2024 with information and practical applications that will be of assistance in the teaching of earth science, and in particular, the important role minerals play in our daily lives. The conference will provide teachers with programs, literature, videos, tours, mineral samples, and will certify up to 16 hours of continuing education units. Your support is invaluable.
