As we have reached the midway point for the IWRMP 2018, I thought it may be useful to provide an update on our progress. Over the past three months mentees and mentors have been meeting regularly either online or in person to conduct mentoring sessions following their structured program framework. Many mentees have participated in two interactive webinars that have focused on addressing career challenges and discussing topic ideas for future mentoring sessions. Mentees were recently requested to submit a mid-program report that aims to provide an update on the progress of their sessions including topics discussed, total number of sessions, and how they are contributing to gender diversity in their workplaces or communities. We look forward to providing scholarship sponsors with an individual report on the progress of their sponsored mentees in mid/late July.
As part of the structured nature of the IWRMP 2018, a final celebration event will be held in London on 21st September hosted by Rio Tinto and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. We look forward to hosting many program participants (mentees and mentors), supporters and, industry and sponsor representatives at this event. The event will signify the conclusion of the inaugural program and we look forward to hearing from several mentees on their achievements throughout the program and formally thanking our valued mentors.

Preparations are underway for the IWRMP 2019 which will be launched at Mining Indaba, Cape Town South Africa on 3rd February.
