When you give to a chapter
Your dollars go directly into local events, professional development, scholarships, and outreach that strengthen your community. Chapters use this funding to:
- Host networking and training sessions
- Provide scholarships for students
- Build partnerships with local companies and schools
- Run outreach programs that inspire the next generation of mining professionals
To sustain the broader organization, 20% of each chapter sponsorship is retained by WIM USA. These funds cover essential shared infrastructure such as website hosting, membership and event management tools, and administrative support.

Your dollars fuel national programs that benefit all chapters and members, including:
- Mentor Network – connecting members across the country
- Leadership Lab – providing scholarships and national coordination to deliver hands-on leadership development for women in mining
- Annual Conference – showcasing technical expertise, student talent, and professional development opportunities

Student Chapter Support – providing direct funding and resources to grow student engagement, including:
• Funding conference registration and meals for student attendees
• $500 annual grants for each student chapter - Virtual Programming – hosting webinars, Coffee Breaks, and other online events while helping amplify state chapter virtual programming across the country
- Resources & Advocacy – providing visibility, recognition, and tools that amplify chapter success
