Once again, the Minerals Education Coalition will have an exhibit at the Denver Gem and Mineral Show/Hardrock Summit at the Colorado Convention Center, downtown Denver, on Sept. 15- 18 (Friday-Monday).
Dick Beach with the MEC is seeking WIM Denver and WIM CSM Student volunteers to staff the exhibit. This is a good opportunity to network, help educate the public about the importance of minerals and mining in our lives, and see some beautiful minerals on display.
Any and all volunteer assistance is welcomed, but for ease of convenience, Dick has offered the following volunteer shifts: Friday, Sept. 15: from 10 am to 2 pm, and 2 pm to 6 pm Saturday, Sept. 16: from 10 am to 2 pm, and 2 pm to 6 pm Sunday, Sept. 17: from 10 am to 2 pm, and 2 pm to 6 pm Monday, Sept. 18: from 10 am to 1 pm, and 1pm to 3pm If you can help at our exhibit, even for a couple hours, please let Dick know! His email address is: DickBeach@mines.edu.
Visitor admission to the show is free, but parking is not. The lightrail runs by the convention center. You will need to register and get tickets to enter at https://tickets.hardrocksummit.com/en/shop/tickets. The MEC exhibit will likely be in the “200 Meeting Rooms” area with the Denver Gem and Mineral Show.
