Background:
WIM-CA is hosting a two-day Teacher Education Conference at California State University’s San Bernardino campus, targeting 75-100 teachers, designed for k-12 educators. The conference aims to provide practical tools and insights to enhance Earth Science education, particularly focusing on the role of minerals in daily life.

This conference will feature:

• California Department of Education’s Next Generation Science Standard-aligned classroom activities
• Instructed activities use an inclusive teaching lens that aims to improve the learning experience for all students by considering diverse learning needs and preferences
• Mine tour experiences
• Up to 16 hours of certified continuing education
