Our Mission

The Alaska Chapter of Women in Mining is a nonprofit organization created to promote, encourage, inspire, and advocate for women in the mining industry in the beautiful state of Alaska. In addition, WIM AK strives to educate members and their communities of the economic, scientific, technical, and environmental aspects of mining, and seeks to preserve the great heritage and history of Alaska’s rich mining history and people.
